Rhonda Morgan

As an American based in Kenya, Rhonda Morgan serves as the Solution Design Director for WezaCare Solutions. She is passionate about helping create a future where vulnerable children can grow up in safe, loving, and nurturing families.

Rhonda was originally inspired to move to Kenya in 2021 because she wanted to be where the impact was actually happening, rather than contributing from a distance. She desired to work directly alongside the Kenyan leaders and professionals transforming how vulnerable children are cared for.

For the last five years, Rhonda has helped bridge the gap between the challenges orphanages face and the practical solutions they need to transition from institutional childcare to family and community-based care. Part of her work takes her into the field, where she visits partner orphanages to listen, learn, and deeply understand the challenges they face. She then works with her team to develop solutions, tools, resources, and training materials that empower WezaCare’s consultants to guide these organizations through meaningful, sustainable change.

Rhonda especially loves bringing people together, listening to their experiences, and turning complex challenges into practical solutions. She believes lasting transformation happens when local leaders and professionals have the knowledge, skills, and support to strengthen families and create lasting change within their communities.

Since July 2026, Rhonda has continued serving in Kenya without a salary. Her decision is rooted in her belief in WezaCare’s mission and her commitment to the partners they are already walking alongside. These organizations are in the midst of significant transformation, and she believes the work is far from finished. Walking away now would mean leaving important partnerships unfinished and potentially limiting their opportunity to help more children thrive in families.

Motivated by her Christian faith, Rhonda considers it a privilege to use her gifts alongside her Kenyan colleagues. She remains committed to supporting these organizations through their transition and helping build a future where more children experience the safety, love, stability, and belonging of family.
